All our designs are 100% Handmade and we are transitioning to be 100% “Eco-Friendly” ; We use Tagua Seeds, wood beads, natural fibers such cotton, recycled pieces and recycled paper which means we use biodegradable pieces for all our product line and packing; Tagua is also known as “Tagua Nut”, “Corozo Nut”, “Ivory Nut” or just “vegetable Ivory”; it is a fruit seed that comes from a Palm tree known as “Phytelephas Macrocarpa” that grows mainly on the tropical rainforest of South America, specially Panama, Colombia and Ecuador. The nut ranges in size from a cherry to an orange and is pretty similar to the texture, hardness and color of the animal ivory found on elephants but with a main difference: There is no killing involved on extracting the Tagua seed; it is collected once the nuts cluster fall to the ground after harvesting the palm tree. The process of collecting, preparing, drying and polishing the seed to its final shape takes over three months. We only use fruits from the earth to create our unique pieces. There are not two identical beads since there are not two identical seeds so we guarantee 100% that your piece of jewelry, although it may seem similar to another piece, is 100% unique adding the fact that we do not design similar pieces.
